Egg donation is an assisted reproduction technique whereby a woman donates her egg cells, so another woman can use these in an IVF treatment, and this way, accomplish pregnancy.
Any healthy woman of between 18 and 35 years old can become an egg cell donor. Donation is an act of altruism, although the current Spanish Law on Assisted Reproduction includes an economic compensation for donors for the costs and discomfort generated during the treatment. Therefore, at AMNIOS we will compensate your generosity with one year of free gynaecological consultations.
Would you like to be an egg donor?
If you are between 18 and 35 years old, you can help make another woman’s dreams come true.
Your generosity will be compensated
The whole medical team will make sure that because of your generosity the egg donation process will be a satisfying experience and that your visits to our clinic will become a pleasant memory. At Amnios we know that it is fundamental that our donors are comfortable and confident at any time. Therefore, we offer our donors a range of advantages that few clinics for egg donation in Madrid will offer.
Our medical team will carry out a complete medical examination of our egg donors, including a gynaecological check
We compensate any costs
Your effort and generosity will be compensated, according to the recommendations of the Spanish National Committee of Assisted Reproduction, because of the trouble associated to the process.
A year of free visits
At AMNIOS we offer all our donors the possibility to receive free medical visits (gynaecology) in the year following the donation.
¿Cómo es el proceso de donación de Óvulos?
During the first visit our medical team will inform you about the process, and answer any questions you may have. We will also explain the procedure and necessary requirements to become an egg cell donor as well as the amount that you are entitled to as a compensation for your effort.
Once we have answered all your questions and you have decided to go ahead and become an egg donor, you will have a personal interview with one of our gynaecologists. In this interview, we will complete your medical history and program the necessary analyses to check if your health is adequate to be an egg donor
To carry out a process of egg cell donation, donors need to undergo a treatment to achieve the maximum amount of egg cells to be developed in that cycle. The treatment consists of the injection of hormones that stimulate the growth of the follicles in the ovaries. This process will be monitored using ultrasound and determination of hormonal level in the donor’s blood.
Once the induction phase is completed, we retrieve the egg cells. To do so, our anaesthetist applies sedation and we puncture the ovaries while monitoring through ultrasound. This process usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes and can be carried out without the need to be hospitalised
